Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Club at Sandals Emerald Bay Golf, Tennis and Spa Resort was recently named The Bahamas’ Best Golf Course at the 1st Annual World Golf Awards, held on November 15, 2014 at the Conrad Algarve, Portugal.

“We are honored to receive such notable recognition from the World Golf Awards,” said Gordon “Butch” Stewart, Chairman of Sandals Resorts International.  “We strive to offer our guests the best amenities, and golf is no exception.  The Greg Norman-designed course is one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in the Caribbean, and this award is a true testament to that.”

Located along the pristine white-sand beach and turquoise waters of Great Exuma’s Emerald Bay, the Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Club is a spectacular 18-hole championship golf course designed by legendary golf professional Greg Norman. The 7,001-yard, par 72 course features not one, but six signature holes to challenge novice and professional golfers alike. With fairways lining the ocean, the Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Club provides a challenging experience for any golfer. Five different tee boxes are available to accommodate guests at every skill level. The course’s first nine holes wind through a mix of seaside dunes and mangrove preserves while holes 11 through 16 play along the rocky peninsula offering unparalleled views of the turquoise Emerald Bay.
