Ramon’s Village, Belize

Ramon’s Village is a small quiet resort that is very lush and green.  You feel like you are in the middle of a jungle.  It has one pool and one restaurant.  The reef is a short boat ride off the resort’s dock, so diving and snorkeling are easy.  The resort also offers complimentary kayaks.  Bike rentals are also available.

This is a family resort, but because of the size of the resort and the quiet atmosphere, I wouldn’t expect many families, considering there are better options for families with children.

The rooms at Ramon’s Village are very nice.  They are made with local materials and techniques used by local craftsmen.  They are spacious and very Belizian—rustic, but comfortable.  They have beachfront, seaside, and jungle cottages.

They have one restaurant, Pineapples on the Beach, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  They also have a coffee/smoothie shop, Tropic Al’s, which has coffee, tea, espresso, and fruit smoothies.   There are many great dining options off the resort in and around San Pedro.  I can honestly say that every meal that we ate in Belize was good—good quality food and friendly service.
