Sandals Grande Antigua – Chairman’s Royal Club Meeting – Arrival

I got a 6am American Airlines flight out of Philly through Miami.  I arrived in Antigua a little before 2pm.  Going through immigration was pretty easy even though they had 2 or 3 planes arrive at the same time.  They had a lot of Immigration Officers working, so the line went quick.  My checked bag was there when I got through immigration.  I went to  the Sandals desk outside and got on my transfers pretty quickly.  It was a 15 min drive to the resort.

The drive to the resort was nice.  The thing that struck me about Antigua was that the houses were well kept.  You could see a lot of character on the island. I did not get to experience much of the resort today because as soon as I arrived on the resort, we did a site inspection.  We saw a number of room categories, including a Honeymoon Garden Rondoval with a Private Plunge Pool, Bougainvillea Honeymoon Seaside Butler Suite, and the Ultra Luxury Ocean Villa One Bedroom Suite with Private Pool.   We did get to walk on the beach quickly.  The sand is super soft and gorgeous.

After our site inspection, I was able to get into my room, the Venetian Oceanview Suite.   It is a nice room and there was a bottle of champagne, a welcome snack, and other gifts. Dinner was at the Barefoot at the Sea.  There was a cocktail hour before dinner and we were able to catch up with friends and talk to the management of Sandals.  Butch, Adam, Kevin, Gary, and the rest of the Unique Vacations management team arrived near the end of dinner.  We spent some time with them.  They had music and dancing on the beach, but I was tired from traveling, so I didn’t stay long.

Tomorrow is a daylong meeting.  Stay tuned for more details about this amazing resort and as always contact your favorite dream agent for more details.
