This past month our family travelled to Dreams Natura Resort & Spa in Cancun Mexico. The resort is only a short 15 minute car ride from the Cancun airport. We landed and breezed through customs, where we were then met by our transfer driver booked through Lomas Travel.

Dining:

There is one buffet open for breakfast, as well as the CoCo Cafe, and then an a la carte option for preferred guests which is very nice to have.

The hibachi restaurant, Himitsu, was one of our favorite meals. We had a great hibachi chef named Manny, and he truly made the meal such a fun experience. They had multiple other options for those that are vegetarian, vegan, etc.

For our last night we were able to dine at the lovely French restaurant, Bordeaux, where we had an amazing server named Gordo. This is the only restaurant at the resort that is adults-only and it is one that you cannot miss. The restaurant is very upscale, the staff are incredibly attentive, and the food was amazing. Some of our favorite dishes from this restaurant were the short rib, the salmon, and the bananas fosters cooked tableside by our amazing waiter Gordo.

Activities:

Dreams Natura has plenty of great activities to keep children and adults of all ages very busy.

This resort has four different pools, one being a Preferred Club adults only pool where we spent a lot of our time. The Preferred Club pool was great to have because it was a lot less busy throughout the day and had a much more peaceful atmosphere.

water park with four water slides and a giant splash bucket.

They have a Rollglider aerial ride which is similar to a zip-line, it goes around the waterpark area and on featured nights they have it open with fire at the end of it.

They have non-motorized water sports at a fee of $4, with a tip being additional.

There is the Explorer’s Club for ages 3-12, offering video games, crafts and even their camping adventure on the beach. Open daily from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. The Core Zone is for Teens is for ages 13-17, and features daily activities and a vast array of sports and games for teenagers. It is open daily from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.

The Fitness Center has many treadmills, elliptical machines, smith machine, various other machines, free weights, yoga mats, fresh towels, and flavored water. The gym was a great size for a resort and had very few people in it.

I was able to attend two of the yoga classes while I was there and they were wonderful. The one was at the gazebo on the beach while the other was in a shaded area by the pool. They were a great way to start my mornings and were not too difficult if you have not practiced yoga before.

This resort is known for their beautiful spa that features a very popular hydrotherapy circuit. We experienced a chair massage with Lucelly and she was excellent and highly recommended.

Accommodations:

For our family of six we had the Preferred Club Junior Suite Swim Out Double and a Preferred Club Governor Suite. These rooms were on the corner of the resort, offering a quiet and peaceful place to enjoy our vacation.  The rooms were absolutely incredible.

We recommend this resort for families, groups and travelers who enjoy activities and fun.  Thank you to the amazing team at Dreams Natura for a wonderful stay and for all that they do for our valued clients.
