Amy, one of our co-owners, was honored to be nominated to attend ALG Vacations Kindness Connection. Approx. 400 travel advisors applied for 40 spots, so she was in amazing company. Bringing together 40 of travel’s most inspirational and influential advisors. They spent time working on caring leadership strategies, cooperative learning and networked with many other managers from ALG.
The Kindness Conference believes that there is no better way to uphold it than through kindness, reinforcing that vision through three pillars of action. These three pillars include; kindness to ourselves, kindness to others, and kindness in travel.

The conference was at the new Secrets Tides in the Dominican Republic. This adults only, all inclusive resort is approx. 40 minutes from the airport. This resort is on a pretty stretch of beach and has oversized pools. The rooms were pleasant and we appreciated the attentive service that comes with being in the Preferred Club. Out of the restaurants, we enjoyed Tierra the most, which is a new concept for Secrets. When we had free time, we enjoyed jewelry making, cigar rolling and even saw a wine tasting.
